About Water Restoration

Water Restoration is a nationwide, 24-hour referral service for property damage emergencies. When you call (888) 755-3821, we connect you with an independently owned restoration company that serves your ZIP code and has crews available for water damage, fire and smoke damage, mold, sewage and biohazard cleanup.

Why we exist

Property damage emergencies happen at the worst possible times, and the hours after a burst pipe or a fire are not the moment to research contractors. Homeowners end up calling whoever shows up first in a search result, often a lead-generation form that promises a callback, or a company that does not actually serve their area. Meanwhile, water keeps spreading and soot keeps etching.

We built Water Restoration to shorten that gap. One phone number, answered around the clock by a live person, routed by ZIP code to a local restoration company that can be on the way in hours. No forms, no waiting for a callback, no cost to call.

How the network works

  1. You call. Our line is staffed 24/7/365. You describe the situation and provide the property address.
  2. We route by location and availability. Your call is connected to a participating restoration company that covers your ZIP code and currently has capacity. In most areas, more than one company participates, so availability is high even during regional storms.
  3. The local company takes it from there. They schedule the response, send a crew, assess the damage, provide a written scope and perform the work. Your agreement for services is with that company directly.
  4. We stay out of the way. We do not mark up the work, we do not perform restoration ourselves and we do not sell your information to multiple contractors who then compete for your attention.

What we expect from participating companies

Restoration companies in the network are independent businesses responsible for their own licensing, insurance, training and workmanship. We expect them to respond promptly, provide written scopes and estimates, follow recognized industry standards such as the IICRC S500 (water damage restoration) and S520 (mold remediation), document their work for insurance purposes and treat customers honestly. If a referral falls short of that, we want to know; see the contact page.

We also encourage every caller to do what they would do with any contractor: ask for proof of insurance, ask about state licensing where it applies (several states license mold remediators, for example), ask about technician certifications and get the scope of work in writing before work begins.

Coverage

Participating companies currently cover 12,922 communities and 21,467 ZIP codes across 47 states. Coverage grows as additional companies join. Each service area page lists the ZIP codes covered and the nearby communities served by the same crews.

Our content

The guides on this site, covering water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, mold remediation and related services, are written to help property owners understand what the work involves, what can be saved, what it costs and how insurance treats it. They draw on published industry standards and public guidance from agencies such as the U.S. EPA. They are general information, not a substitute for an on-site assessment or advice from your insurance carrier.

Transparency

Water Restoration is a referral and marketing service. We may be compensated by participating restoration companies for connecting calls. This does not change what you pay; the company you work with sets its own pricing and bills you or your insurer directly. Calls may be recorded for quality and training. See our terms and conditions and privacy policy for details.
